PTL President, Mr. Edsel Ramirez and Lupang Pangako Elementary School Principal, Mr. Silverio O. Estorco, opening the Toy Library

Lupang Pangako Elementary School, located in Payatas, Quezon City, hope to bring joy to its massive number of toddlers, amounting to 1,300+, through the PTL area. “Matanggal man lang ang stress nila (ng mga bata) na nanggagaling sa community”, shares School Principal Silverio O. Estorco on why he would like to set-up a Toy Library in the school. Even if there’s no room for setting-up a Toy Library, the school community made sure that this should not hinder them in providing what their kids deserve. A small portion of the school grounds or stage was dedicated to be the kids’ play area.

Principal Estorco hopes that the small PTL area will able to give their children huge fun and pleasure of playing, reading and learning.

Philippine Toy Library

From a Facebook status, a national advocacy was born. The Philippine Toy Library (PTL) is made up of volunteer-friends who hope to provide the experience of play to our Filipino children, especially those who live in cramped and congested areas. Idle spaces in barangays, schools or parishes are turned into fun and educational PTL areas to keep kids off the streets. Currently, PTL has 32 sites and more are being put up, to bring joy to the next generation of Filipinos.
